2022 Epic Manufacturing Contractor Series C330HO HydroSeeder - 3,000 Gallon Tank

The C330/C400 HydroMulching Unit features many of the design innovations that Epic has become famous for such as all hydraulic controls for the agitation system, spray pump, and mulch grinder. The C330HO/C400HO utilizes a Vortex Centrifugal pump that is capable of pumping thick slurries of the most difficult mulches up to 300 feet from the turret gun. This pump also reduces maintenance because it requires no adjustment whatsoever. In addition to the stainless steel slurry tank, 100 gallon flush tank and wireless remote, there are popular options such as the hydraulic bale grinder, hydraulic hose reel, and a second turret which can also be added to the C330HO/C400HO. Features may include:

• Vortex Pumps provide a solution to difficult pumping problems such as sludges and slurries with large particle solids, materials with entrained air, stringy or fibrous materials. The Vortex impeller produces a smooth whirlpool of slurry in front of the impeller creating a vacuum. Slurry circulates through the casing with minimal slurry passing through the impeller. This smooth action increases fluid velocity and pressure while minimizing turbulence resulting in reduced particle degradation. Solids smaller than the discharge flow easily, without clogging. The vortex design eliminates the eye of the impeller reducing the possibility of vapor lock. This enables the pump to re-prime quickly when the suction runs dry.

• The agitation system on Epic HydroMulchers is hydraulically powered. This enables forward and reverse functionality to speed mixing and variable speed capability that is independent of pump speed and engine rpm. Our paddle shape provides equal mixing capability in both directions. We have more paddle blade surface area than our competitors to speed mixing regardless of water level. These features combine to give you the most efficient and effective agitation system on the market today. Whether you are mixing typical wood fiber mulches, highly viscous engineered mulches such as BFM's, or straw mulches that have a tendency to come out of suspension and float, the Epic agitation system will get the slurry mixed and ready to spray with ease.

• The Hydraulic Mulch Grinder on our Epic HydroMulchers is designed for efficient loading regardless of the water level. Our agitation system is more than powerful enough to break up and mix full bales of mulch. The problem occurs when you have too much water in the tank and the bales are floating above the paddles. The paddle system will mix in these floaters, but it will definitely take longer. By processing the bales of mulch through the grinder, the mulch has less of a tendency to float and the agitation system can suck any dry floating mulch down into the slurry much quicker. Time is money and you aren't making any money while you are waiting for your machine to mix.

• The Integral Flush Tank contains 100 gallons of clean water. It fills automatically every time you fill the slurry tank. When you are done spraying, you simply close the main suction valve, open the flush tank drain valve, and engage the slurry pump to flush out the pump, plumbing, and hoses. This eliminates the potential for clogs and down time. This can be done right on the job site, so it creates no mess. The biggest advantage of a water flush system is that it completely cleans out the pump housing. An air flush system cannot do this. Air flush is only capable of pushing slurry out of pipes and hoses. The Integral Water Flush System available on all Epic HydroMulchers makes down time due to clogs a thing of the past.
